NEW BIRD SPOTTED IN ST.KITTS

A new Bird has been sighted which has never previously been spotted in the Federation of St.Kitts & Nevis. On Friday, October 14th, 2011, birders Percy Hanley and Mikey Ryan observed a single Cinnamon Teal in one of the artifical ponds created by developers on the South East Peninsular. It is quite rare for this specie to be seen in the Caribbean! A few days later there were 4 birds in the Turtle Beach Pond which may have been Cinnamon Teals, but they were too far away for a positive i.d. This brings the total number of different Birds spotted in St.Kitts & Nevis to 199.
